Since today is the first day of fall, it’s time to call it. Yep, the busy season here on 30A is officially over. I’m grateful for the break, but even more-so, I’m grateful for all of the quirky, colorful, fun, big-hearted families that I’ve met over the past few months. If you haven’t figured it out already… I really, really love what I do. To me, photographing people is more than just a job; it’s more than just the act of telling someone to smile and making a photograph. Through my work I meet people from across the country and learn about what makes their family special. Not only that, but I get to document the unique way they connect with one another. I get to step into the world of a child, figure out what brings them joy, and then spend a whole evening dedicated to nothing but laughing and playing and preserving that joy in photographs.
I can’t thank my clients enough for making this season as amazing as it was. You guys make me smile like nothing else can! This summer was filled with all the best things- giggles, tickles, sandcastles, races, kisses, piggy back rides, plenty of jumping for joy, and- although this one might go without saying- lots of love. When you take those elements and put them up against a backdrop as stunningly gorgeous as a 30A sunset… you get pure magic.
For those of you who only come to 30A during the summer months, I’ll see you again next year! However, if you’re going to be back sooner (or if you’re just lucky enough to live here!), I have limited availability for fall bookings as well- just shoot me an email. Oh, and one last thing… if you haven’t checked out my personal website, Colorful Meanderings, yet, I would love it if you gave it a peek. This blog will be a bit slower til next summer, but there’s lots more pretty photos to look at over there!
So, without further ado, here’s what my summer looked like on 30A:
